Lutheran Laymen’s League (LLL)

LL Ambassador: Nathan Messer

Lutheran Laymen's League

The Lutheran Laymen’s League (LLL) began in 1917,  with a group of 12 men attending the Milwaukee LCMS convention, and after settling the synod’s debt, a pension fund was formed for professional church workers.  By 1930 the LLL reached out through the airwaves with the Lutheran Hour and today has a reach of 800 stations around the world.  This ministry has brought many wonderful programs to help individuals, families and society in embracing, understanding and spreading God’s Word through faith.  The popularity of this ministry continues today, and the LLL changed its name in 1992 to Lutheran Hour Ministries embracing the Lutheran Hour’s popularity and breath of coverage. www.lutheranhour.org

Men's Network

The Men’s Network formed to ignite and challenge men’s faith lives.  This network offers blogs, bible study material, volunteer opportunities and other resources to help men in their faith walk with their Lord. http://www.lhmmen.com/default.asp

Orphan Grain Train

The Carver County Chapter of the LLL is also an active participant in Orphan Grain Train.  Orphan Grain Train is a Christian volunteer network that shares personal and material resources with needy people in America and around the world.  Grain Train volunteers gather donations of clothing, medical supplies, food, Christian literature, and other aid to meet real needs.  The Orphan Grain Train movement is a loving response to Jesus Christ's example as a servant and His love for us.  www.ogt.org

St. John’s Men’s Group

St. John’s Men’s Group was established to help strengthen men in their ministry walk with Christ within their families or communities.  We typically will meet once a month for an event or Bible Study.  One of our more popular events has been Feed My Starving Children and our Bible Studies look for ways to bring the gospel to life in our secular world.

Camp Omega
