Join Us for Worship at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Chaska
We would love to have you join us this Holy Week as we remember Jesus’ death and celebrate His resurrection. No matter your background or where you are in your faith, you are welcome at St. John’s.
St. John’s is a multi-generational congregation of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS), rooted in God’s Word and centered on the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Please note: All Holy Week services will be held in our school gym while our sanctuary is being renovated.

7:00 PM – Stripping of the Altar (Livestreamed)
On Maundy Thursday, we remember the night Jesus instituted the Lord’s Supper and gave His command to love one another. The evening service concludes with the Stripping of the Altar as we enter into the solemn reflection of Good Friday.
Holy Communion will be celebrated at both services.
Good Friday
Friday, April 3
10:00 AM – Passion Readings and Hymns
7:00 PM – Tenebrae Service of Darkness (Livestreamed)
Good Friday is a day of quiet reflection as we meditate on Christ’s suffering and death. The Tenebrae Service of Darkness gradually extinguishes light as we consider the depth of His sacrifice.
Easter Sunday
Sunday, April 5
7:00 AM – Sonrise Service
8:30 AM – Easter Celebration (Livestreamed)
10:00 AM – Easter Celebration
On Easter morning, we gather in joy to proclaim: Christ is risen! He is risen indeed! Together we celebrate His victory over sin and death and the hope we have in Him. The Sonrise service begins in darkness, and light fills our worship as the service unfolds, reminding us of the Light of Christ that shines into the darkness and brings new life.
Holy Communion will be celebrated at all Easter Sunday services.
Visiting for the First Time?
