If you are interested in getting involved at St. John’s, we have Bible studies, volunteer opportunities and many ministry areas such as music or care ministries. Please complete this form if you would like more information.
Ushers
Be a welcoming presence as people enter St. John’s for worship. Hand out service bulletins, help locate seats, take up the offering, and clean up after the service. Training is provided.

Altar Guild
The Altar Guild prepares the sanctuary for worship: Set up communion, take care of the communionware and linens, change the parament colors, clean the altar area, and fill oil candles for services. On Maundy Thursday, they strip the altar during the service.

Tech & Sound Team
Be part of a team that runs audio and video for in-person and live-streamed worship services, funerals and weddings. Training is provided.

Service Opportunities
Monday Night Meal
For over a decade, the Monday Night Meal has served the community by preparing and serving around 200 takeout meals every Monday evening from 5:15 – 6:15 p.m. To donate or volunteer, please contact Heidi Moe: heidirmoe@yahoo.com or 952-200-7218
Meals on Wheels
St. John’s has a commitment approximately every 6 weeks with CAP Meals on Wheels in Chaska to provide volunteer drivers to deliver meals to seniors in need. Routes and meals are set up by Meals on Wheels. Drivers pick up their meal coolers and route information on their scheduled day, complete delivery, and return coolers. An application/approval process is required through CAP.

Christmas in May
Each year, St. John’s partners with the City of Chaska and Christmas in May Chaska to help local residents who are unable to maintain their homes due to financial or physical limitations. On a Saturday in May, volunteers provide both skilled and unskilled labor for projects such as painting, yard cleanup, and general home maintenance—helping neighbors stay safe and comfortable in their homes.

Picnic with Police
The Chaska Police Department hosts an annual picnic in July that isfree to all Chaska residents. St. John’s serves food and beverages at this family picnic.

Thanksgiving Meal
St. John’s, in conjunction with the Chaska Police Department, prepares and delivers Thanksgiving meals to seniors who are homebound.
