Giving

It is easy to give what we don’t want, our used leftovers; but such gifts cost us little. A gift that honors God is one that requires sacrifice, because that is the gift that reflects our hearts. When we give our first and finest, we acknowledge the position God holds in our lives.

Giving comes in many forms.  It may be a weekly offering, the sharing of stocks/securities, or through a legacy gift from your estate.  You can give during worship, through the mail, or online via this link.   Contact us to explore your giving options.  Your gifts to St. John’s are vital to our ability to reach the world with the message of hope that Jesus offers.

Ways to Give

Financial Contribution

ONLINE GIVING:

St. John’s Lutheran Church & School uses a secure giving portal to create and manage gifts.

  • Complete the form to start online giving.
  • You can use your checking/savings account, or debit/credit card.
  • You can change or cancel your online giving at any time.
  • Online giving is safe; your information is secured at the highest industry standards.

GIVING WITH CASH:

  • Placing cash in the offering plate is perhaps the easiest way to give at St. John’s. Loose cash in the offering plate (not in an envelope or identified with someone’s name) is put into the Current Fund.
  • If you would like to receive credit for your gift of cash, you must use an envelope and place your name or envelope number on it. If you would like to designate your cash gift, you can do so on the front of the envelope.

GIVING BY CHECK:

  • Checks should be made payable to St. John’s Lutheran Church & School. If you would like to designate your gift to a fund other than the Current Fund, please use the memo line of your check or use an envelope.

Time and Talent

Giving extends beyond financial contributions; it is also a personal commitment. Every member has many opportunities to demonstrate their faith by dedicating their time and talents. Whether serving as a small group leader, usher, or in other ministry roles at St. John’s, each contribution reflects a commitment to Christ’s mission.
