Volunteer Opportunities

If you are interested in getting involved at St. John’s, we have Bible studies, volunteer opportunities and many ministry areas such as music or care ministries. Please complete this form if you would like more information.

Ushers
Be a welcoming presence as people enter St. John’s for worship. Hand out service bulletins, help locate seats, take up the offering, and clean up after the service. Training is provided.

Lead: Tim Peterson

Altar Guild
The Altar Guild prepares the sanctuary for worship: Set up communion, take care of the communionware and linens, change the parament colors, clean the altar area, and fill oil candles for services. On Maundy Thursday, they strip the altar during the service.

Leads: Cindy Pagelkopf and Julie Crocker

Tech & Sound Team
Be part of a team that runs audio and video for in-person and live-streamed worship services, funerals and weddings. Training is provided.

Welcome Team
Provide the first contact with guests and members, helping create an environment which promotes hospitality and community.
