Fall is officially underway at St. John’s!
Sunday, September 13th marked the start of our fall worship schedule and Education Hour, and the morning was full of activity as many of our ministries started up again for the year.
Our Sunday School kickoff brought together 1 year olds through 6th graders and their families for an exciting morning in the gym. Families had a chance to spend time together, sing and praise God, enjoy a few activities, and then head off to their classrooms to meet their wonderful teachers and begin another year of learning about God’s Word.
Our confirmands and their parents also gathered as they begin a year focused on biblical apologetics, learning more about how to confidently defend their faith.
Parents kicked off their own study as well, beginning a conversation about our identity in Christ and what that means for us and for the way we raise our children.
High School Youth Group is back together for the fall, with time to build relationships and spend time in God’s Word. Our adult “Look Ahead” Bible study has also returned for another year of digging into the Scripture readings for the coming Sunday.
We’re thankful for all of the children, families, teachers, and leaders who helped make the first Sunday of the fall season such a wonderful day!
