Who We Are
Welcome Message
In its proper season God makes all things new. As members of St. John’s Church and School we are entering a new season of tremendous spiritual and numerical growth. By the work of the Holy Spirit God is renewing and reinvigorating His church. Through Word and Sacrament God continues to bless us as He brings His children into fellowship with one another so that His work might be done among us. Together we are strengthened by the promise of forgiveness through Christ Jesus and in response it is our privilege to serve together in ministry. “There is one body and one Spirit-just as you were called to one hope, when you were called-one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. …From Him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.” (Ephesians 4: 4-6; 16)
God creates each of us to serve Him in unique ways and supplies us with a variety of spiritual gifts to be used in concert with the gifts that He has so generously given to those around us. We are all part of one body, the body of Christ. As we exercise our faith the body of Christ is supported and built up in love.
Christ is placing new and exciting possibilities before us every day in abundant supply as we serve His church and the people of our surrounding communities. I encourage You to share the gifts God has graciously given to you. You are a vital part of the body of Christ and integral in the work He gives us to do together. It’s a privilege to share in the ministry as Christ places opportunities before us during this new season with joy and confidence.

Our Mission
Making disciples of generations for generations.
Our Vision
ENCOUNTER the triune God, EQUIP the body of Christ, and ENGAGE in a life of faith.
Our Beliefs
St. John’s is a member church of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod with a mission to make disciples of generations for generations. As part of this larger community of faith, we have these key beliefs that shape our lives together.
God: We believe that a real, personal God created the world and every person who has ever lived. We believe that God not only created us and all that there is, but is active in every area of creation, including the lives of all people.
Jesus: We believe that Jesus Christ, who is both fully God and fully man, came to Earth to die for the sins of the world. We believe that it is only through the forgiveness of Jesus that we can enter eternal life with God.
Holy Spirit: We believe that the Holy Spirit calls us to faith and sustains this same faith. We believe that we cannot have faith apart from the work of the Holy Spirit within us. We believe that the Holy Spirit is active in the hearts of all believers and in the church.
Baptism: We believe that baptism is a gift God gives to us. We believe that baptism joins us to the forgiveness of Jesus and gives us a living and active faith. We believe that baptism forms the basis of our identity as a child of God. We believe that this gift of God is for all nations and all ages.
Communion: We believe that communion is a special gift from Jesus. We believe that Jesus comes to us in communion, giving us His very body and blood in, with, and under, the bread and wine. We believe that this gift forgives our sins and strengthens our relationship with Him while also bringing us closer together as a community of faith.
The Church: We believe that God created the church to bring the good news of Jesus to the whole world. We believe that the church is called to share the Word of God and the gifts of baptism and communion. We believe that the church is called to care for members and seek to share Jesus with those who do not yet know Him. We believe that the church is called to share the hope and restoration of Jesus in word and deed.
The Bible: We believe that the Bible is God’s word spoken to us through many generations and many voices, but with one clear and consistent message of hope. We believe that the message of the Bible forms the basis for our life together and is truly God’s word for us. In a world where so much changes, we have the confidence that God’s word remains constant.
