Ash Wednesday & Lenten Worship at St. John’s
As we enter the season of Lent, we invite you to join us at St. John’s as we reflect, pray, and prepare our hearts for Easter. Lent is a meaningful time of repentance, renewal, and spiritual growth as we walk with Christ on His journey to the cross and the empty tomb.
Through worship, Scripture, and prayer, we gather to remember Christ’s sacrifice, receive His grace, and grow in faith together.
Ash Wednesday Worship
Wednesday, February 18
Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent and calls us to reflect on our need for forgiveness and God’s mercy.
We will gather for worship with Holy Communion and the imposition of ashes.

Throughout Lent, we gather each Wednesday evening for worship as we reflect on Christ’s love and care for us.

Lenten Theme: Savior, Servant, Friend
Our 2026 Midweek Lenten theme is “Savior, Servant, Friend.”
Lent provides us with a perfect chance to explore the extraordinary attributes of our Savior, Servant, and Friend, Jesus. It is a time to marvel at the many blessings we received when he laid down his life for us on the cross and then rose victorious from the grave. Each service in this series dwells upon a different aspect of our greatest Friend and what each characteristic means to us as his followers and friends.
Weekly Themes & Topics
Week 1 – February 25: Forgiveness
Jesus forgives us again and again, even when we do not deserve it.
Week 2 – March 4: Healer
Jesus heals us when we are wounded and weakened by sin.
Week 3 – March 11: Encourager
Jesus encourages us in our faith to live our lives for Him.
Week 4 – March 18: Protector
Jesus protects us from the devil and from danger and keeps us safe in Him.
Week 5 – March 25: Comforter
Jesus comforts us in our struggles and sorrows so that we may find rest in His promises.
