Join Us for Holy Week at St. John’s
We invite you to walk through the story of Christ’s love, sacrifice, and victory with us during Holy Week at St. John’s. From Palm Sunday to Easter morning, each service draws us deeper into the heart of the Gospel.
All Holy Week services will be held in the gym due to ongoing renovation.
Palm Sunday
Sunday, March 29
8:00 AM (Livestreamed – Join us live on our worship page)
9:30 AM
10:45 AM
Palm Sunday worship begins our Holy Week journey as we remember Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem with palm branches.
Maundy Thursday
Thursday, April 2
4:15 PM
7:00 PM (Stripping of the Altar – Livestreamed)
On Maundy Thursday, we remember the night Jesus instituted the Lord’s Supper and gave His command to love one another. The evening service concludes with the Stripping of the Altar as we enter into the solemn reflection of Good Friday.
Holy Communion will be celebrated at both services. First Communion will also take place at both services.
Good Friday
Friday, April 3
10:00 AM – Passion Readings and Hymns
7:00 PM – Tenebrae Service of Darkness (Livestreamed)
Good Friday is a day of quiet reflection as we meditate on Christ’s suffering and death. The Tenebrae Service of Darkness gradually extinguishes light as we consider the depth of His sacrifice.
Easter Sunday
Sunday, April 5
7:00 AM – Sonrise Service
8:30 AM – Easter Celebration
10:00 AM – Easter Celebration
On Easter morning, we gather in joy to proclaim: Christ is risen! He is risen indeed! Together we celebrate the victory over sin and death and the hope we have in Him.
Holy Communion will be celebrated at all Easter Sunday services.
