Caring Comfort Ministry
This ministry assembles a care package for those members and school families who have recently lost a loved one, given birth, are recovering from surgery, or experiencing a chronic illness or hardship. If you would like to find out more about how you can contribute to this ministry, please contact Deaconess Kris. If you have a flair for assembling gift packages, or would like to donate a comfort care item, we are always looking for extra help.

Cancer Companions
“Seeing God in Your Cancer Journey” is used in Christian cancer support groups and one-to-one peer counseling sessions to encourage cancer patients and their family members to discover all that Christ hungers to give them in the midst of their cancer struggle. Beyond their salvation, many Christians seek peace and comfort from Christ during difficult times. But Jesus wants to give guidance, strength, discernment, power, and courage. Seeing God in Your Cancer Journey encourages cancer family members to pray big, love big, and live big, because the Lord God Almighty is big enough for all that and more. If you are a cancer patient or if cancer has touched your life in some way, please join us.

Prayer Shawls/Baptismal Blankets
As a reminder that they are surrounded by the love and prayers of our congregation and wrapped in the arms of Jesus, new children of God are presented with a blanket on their Baptismal day; at times of illness or crisis, individuals receive a Prayer Shawl. Knit or crochet blankets and shawls with your own yarn using your favorite pattern.

Delivery Angels
Help support others in our congregation by providing a meal for families as they grow through birth/adoption or if needed during extended health issues. You can personally prepare the meal, provide a gift card to a local restaurant that delivers, or purchase a meal (i.e. rotisserie chicken with fixings).

Prayer squares are provided freely and reminder of God’s love and grace and a tangible symbol of His peace. Knitting and crocheting patterns are available, or you can use your favorite pattern.
