Gilmore, Kendra

Kendra Gilmore was called to serve as Principal at St. John’s Lutheran School in 2018, where she also teaches junior high math. Kendra graduated from Concordia University Nebraska in Seward with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education in 2008 and earned her master’s degree in Educational Technology and Design from Concordia University Wisconsin in 2014. Before coming to St. John’s, she taught fifth and sixth grade for ten years in St. Charles, Missouri, and Corcoran, Minnesota.

In 2018, she completed the SLED Program (School Leadership Development) through the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod, and in 2021, she completed the Van Lunen Program (Executive Management Training for Principals in Christian Schools) through Calvin University.

Outside of school, Kendra enjoys spending time with her husband, Josh, and their three children, Addison, Caden, and Landon. Whether camping at state and national parks, traveling, reading, playing the piano, or watching her children do what they love, she treasures opportunities to make memories with her family.

Kendra’s goal is to ensure that every student and family feels welcomed, valued, and deeply connected as part of the St. John’s family. She considers it a privilege to partner with parents in nurturing each child’s academic growth while equipping them with a strong foundation of faith that will guide them throughout their lives.
